A Strong Voice for Students and Parents
I am a wife, mother of five, educator, and businesswoman who is concerned about the direction education has been heading. Capistrano Unified School District enrollment is declining and families are choosing other educational options; which is resulting in decreased funding and teachers losing their jobs. This is largely due to the direction the current leadership is going. We need to do better for our families and stop this mass exodus from our amazing school district.
My experience and passion for students and families make me the most qualified and informed candidate to lead Capistrano Unified School District into success. As your trustee, my commitment is to get political agendas out of the classroom and get back to excellence in education.
It’s time for new leadership in CUSD Area 2!
As your representative on the CUSD Board of Trustees I will put students first. My priorities are:
Academics Over Agendas - Focus on academic excellence and remove political agendas from the classroom.
Parental Involvement - Promote and strengthen the crucial role of parents and guardians as partners in their child's education.
Student Success - Maintain high graduation rates and provide every student with a high-quality education that equips them with the tools, skills, and training to thrive in college or the workforce.
Safe Schools - Prioritize the safety of students and faculty by implementing measures that foster a safe and secure learning environment.
Fiscal Responsibility - Manage district resources wisely, ensuring resources are directed to the classroom and funds are effectively used to enrich students through educational programs.
It's time to restore common-sense policies, integrity, and principled leadership. I hope to earn your vote for Capistrano Unified School District Board of Trustees, Area 2.
Lisa Zollinger is a wife, mother, businesswoman and educator. Lisa and her family have lived in Orange County for over 20 years. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Utah then went on to earn a California Teaching Credential. She began her teaching career as a 4th Grade teacher. She has continued her education career as a substitute teacher. She's also spent years working with children at church by teaching Sunday School and music. Lisa lives with her husband, Josh, in Ladera Ranch. Together, they own and manage a local real estate brokerage. They are the proud parents of five children - two CUSD graduates and three current CUSD students. Lisa actively volunteers in her community. She was a youth basketball and soccer coach, Girl Scout Troop Leader, Room Mom, and Treasurer of the PTA. Lisa is passionate about ensuring every child is provided with a high quality education.
